In his free time, Chris enjoys playing sand volleyball at Volleyball Beach and trying new beers from Martin City Brewery.

Kathy Scott, Ball’s Sun Fresh Market

When people ask, ”What do you do?” Tell them, “Whatever it takes!”

As a Store Director I am leading team members to fulfill the Balls Food Stores company vision: “to be the best run, friendliest supermarket in town where teammates are passionate about providing excellent customer service and where customers and teammates love to shop!”  I have always had a passion for the supermarket industry.  Celebrating a career that has spanned over 38 years with Balls Food Stores, I have a proven record as one of the top performers in creating and maintaining positive atmospheres throughout the organization which promotes growth that in turn supports retention of teammates and customers. I utilize my talents to collaborate with managers in various departments and together we explore ideas/strategies  that keep consumers interested in our brand.  I represent Balls Food Stores with Executive Women International (EWI) as a board member on a Corporate and Local level, it grants me the opportunity to provide resources for people, through Connections, Careers, and Community, to thrive in their personal and professional development. The opportunities within this organization have directed my own personal growth while serving my two terms as President of the Kansas City Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI).  I have enjoyed serving on the South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce as a member of the South KC Block Planning Committee since 2019.  I am excited for the opportunity to serve as a board member for the South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
