Rick Chambers is a long-time resident and community leader in South Kansas City. Rick and his wife, Denise, have lived in South KC since they married in 1982. In 2009, after a 31 year career in the technology and office equipment industries (including 10 years as co-owners of an office equipment dealership), Rick and Denise transitioned into a second career supporting non-profit organizations in South Kansas City. Together they led the Center School District Education Foundation for 11 years, supporting a school district where their two sons attended (one of whom has been a teacher at Center High School for over 15 years). In 2022, Rick accepted a position with the school district as Director of Communications and Development. After long-time Chamber President Vickie Wolverton retired in 2024, Rick accepted an offer to become Chamber President. Denise continues to be an active part of their work life as a key volunteer for the Chamber. Rick loves South Kansas City and thoroughly enjoys spending time with his Chamber friends as they work together to make South KC a great place to Live, Work, Learn, and Play!

Helen grew up on the coast of Maine but has called the south side of Kansas City home since 2005. As small business owner herself (Helen Ransom Photography), she understands the unique challenges and joys of business. She recognizes the importance of strong business connections and loves connecting chamber members with each other and community members!

Helen is deeply involved in the community, serving as the President of the Grandview C-4 Board of Education as well as the Grandview Education Foundation.
