Government Affairs Committee Purpose

The South KC Chamber Governmental Affairs Committee serves as a voice for South Kansas City businesses by advocating at local, state, and federal levels for public policy that fosters business growth and success.

What We Work On

We research, develop, educate and recommend annual legislative priorities to the South KC Chamber Board of Directors so they can inform members of current legislation that could impact their businesses.

Legislative Advocacy

During the legislative session, the South KC Chamber Governmental Affairs Committee partners with the Grandview Chamber to meet with state legislators in Jefferson City and discuss our legislative priorities. We also partner with local governmental affairs consultants to help us accomplish our goals.
