Community Assistance Council (CAC) will host its second Trivia Night fundraiser Aug. 12, 2021, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 12001 Wornall, Kansas City, Mo.
CAC is the social services agency providing a wide range of critical needs, including a food pantry, emergency rent and utilities assistance, diapers and hygiene items, Empower program case management for Hickman Mills families, and much more for low-income families in south Kansas City. In 2020, CAC provided nearly $1 million worth of services including homelessness prevention (emergency rent assistance) for 516 individuals, keeping lights, heat/AC and water on for 895 individuals, and providing food for 5,120 individuals.
Mark Alford, Fox 4 Morning News, will emcee the event. Anyone may play by registering a team of six for $100 or as an individual for $20. This year the event has a Games theme. Teams are encouraged to have clever team names, “costumes” and table decorations.
According to CAC Executive Director Rachel Casey, “We want to have a fun evening where everyone is engaged. In addition to the trivia, there will be audience participation activities in-between question categories and opportunities to learn how support for CAC has a positive impact on the whole community.”
