Alexa Barkley grew up in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Risk Management. In 2010, Barkley started her career in the insurance industry in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, she worked in centralized administrative support for State Farm Corporate. In 2015, Barkley moved to Overland Park, Kansas to pursue her dream of becoming a State Farm Agent. Barkley’s true passion is working directly with customers, helping them stay protected! In April 2020, Barkley opened the doors to her State Farm office in Kansas City, Missouri!
The Alexa Barkley Insurance Agency Team has earned awards both company and industry wide by providing quality customer service and reliable insurance coverage, including Honor Club, Ambassador Club and Chairmans. Barkley enjoys staying active in and giving back to our community. She is a member of South Kansas City Rotary, Caring for Kids, and serves as a Martin City Improvement District board member. Barkley enjoys networking with other local small business owners as a member of the South KC Chamber of Commerce. On the weekends, you’ll find her at the park with dogs, Max & Mila, or tackling home remodeling projects! She enjoys cooking and exploring new places in Kansas City!
