Marijuana in Missouri – Are Employers Ready for Change?
On November 8, 2022, Missouri voters approved Amendment 3, amending Section 1 of Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution. Amendment 3 legalizes personal use of marijuana (also known as cannabis) by adults 21 and older, allows individuals to petition for release from prison, expunge certain arrests and conviction records of non-violent marijuana offenses, and enacts a 6 percent tax on the retail price of recreational marijuana.
