Mid-America Regional Council and RideshareKC asks: Are You Ready to Green Commute?

It’s time for the annual Green Commute Challenge! During the Green Commute Challenge, coworkers join forces to reduce emissions by biking, walking, taking the bus, carpooling or telecommuting. Compete against other teams for glory, and each day be entered to win prizes from some amazing local businesses.

Challenge yourself and your coworkers to bike, walk, carpool, ride transit, or vanpool to work this fall with the 2022 Green Commute Challenge, presented by RideshareKC. The Green Commute Challenge is a free competition among Kansas City area commuters to reward taking sustainable transportation options to work.

For six weeks, from Sept. 19 through Oct. 28, members of employer-based teams can log their green commute trips to earn points and get entered in weekly drawings for prizes from local businesses and makers. At the end of the Challenge, prizes will be awarded for categories like most green commute trips completed, best social media, and more. Registration opens Aug. 15 at RideshareKC.org.
