Caring for Kids Network’s vision is for all children to have hope and reach their highest potential. Our mission is to mobilize community organizations in partnership with schools to inspire hope and help prepare children to impact their world. Our mission is accomplished through a proven four-step process to engage the community – churches, businesses, and civic groups/nonprofits – to serve collaboratively around neighborhood schools. We work with the superintendents, district leadership, and the individual school principals to identify potential school partnership projects that best support the goals of an individual school.

Caring for Kids Network is one of a kind in that we strive to build sustainable relationships between schools and all sectors of the community (faith, business, and civic) to provide pathways for collaborative work to serve our city’s children.
What are some of Caring for Kids Network’s successes or achievements that you are most proud of?
We are proud to serve 7 school districts in the Kansas City metropolitan: Kansas City Public Schools, Raytown C-2 Quality Schools, Hickman Mills School District, Center School District, Grandview C-4 School District, Shawnee Mission School District, and Kansas City, KS Public School District. At this point, we have more than 380 community partners: 171 Churches, 108 Businesses, and 108 Civic/Nonprofit organizations.
What is an interesting fact about Caring for Kids Network that people might not know?
We are piloting a partnership with 3 new school districts: Basehor-Linwood School District, De Soto School District, Piper School District.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
We are always looking to add more partners and would love to serve in more schools.
