Join the South KC and Greater KC Chamber as we present United Way of Greater Kansas City’s interactive poverty simulation to learn about the prevalence and severity of poverty in our community. You will learn about poverty in Kansas City and will work in small groups to complete a series of budget exercises. The experience requires participants to navigate difficult decisions within the constraints of scarce time and resources, and will provide empathetic understanding of families struggling in low-wage jobs to make ends meet.
You’ll also learn how you can support and empower vulnerable families in our communities.
