What is Leadership South KC (LSKC)?

Leadership South KC, started in 1993, has a long tradition of providing up & coming leaders in South Kansas City with the opportunity to learn more about the people and organizations that make Kansas City work and build strong and long lasting relationships with other leaders in South Kansas City.

Topics pertaining to government, education, public safety, health care, transportation, technology, community service, entrepreneurship, small business, and more, are covered.

How much time is required?

The Leadership South KC program consists of eleven different meetings over the course of 2026. Most of the meetings involve “field trips” to visit the places and people that are integral to the success of Kansas City as a dynamic place to live, work, learn, and play. Examples include visits to the State legislature in Jefferson City, the Kansas City Emergency Operations Center, tours of key manufacturing and logistics facilities, and small group meetings with leaders in business, government, and social services. In addition to all of the learning opportunities, the class will help you develop long-term friendships and business relationships with your fellow class members.

Who You Meet

LSKC immerses participants in the issues and assets that are essential to Kansas City’s future.

Along the way, you will collaborate and work as a team with fellow LSKC participants, and meet with current Kansas City leaders and business owners who could eventually become trusted contacts or mentors for your business.

Financial Investment

Members:
$1,100 First Attendee
$1,050 each additional attendee

Non-Members:
$1,350 per person

The fee covers class meals, breaks, class materials, and other organizational costs.
