The Chamber is pleased to welcome four new members to the South KC Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors is comprised of individuals from the medical, business, academic and volunteer communities of the South Kansas City Area. It is the Board’s responsibility to provide counsel and guidance in the direction and operation of the Chamber as well as it is to raise awareness of the Chamber’s services to the surrounding communities.

New Board members include:

Bethany Neal, Director of Marketing for KC Hopps / Blue Moose Red Bridge.  Bethany Neal has lived in Kansas City for 12 years. She finished her degree at University of Central Missouri in Hotel & Restaurant Administration. Her first job in Kansas City was in the infant years of the Power and Light District, where she remembers opening just in time for the Big 12 Tournament and St. Patrick’s Day. She joined the KC Hopps Restaurants management group in 2011, managing sales, events and building their growing catering division. When she had a chance to step into a marketing role at KC Hopps, she eagerly put her hat in the ring for the position. She now directs the marketing department for KC Hopps, which includes South KC member, Blue Moose in the Red Bridge Shopping Center. She also oversees the KC Hopps Sales Team and has enjoyed developing her marketing knowledge as an executive with the Home Office Leadership Team.

Jason Schram, Preconstruction & Estimating Manager Community Service Coordinator with A. L. Huber.  As a skilled estimator, Jason has been a valuable member of the A.L. Huber Estimating and Preconstruction team for 3 years. As an expert at developing and maintaining estimates and preconstruction, Jason is on board early to help determine project costs. He will develop preconstruction project sequencing and coordinate design with the project team. He is especially skilled in faith-based projects of all types. Our clients truly appreciate Jason’s professionalism and attention to detail. He and his wife Val have been married for 20 years and live in South Kansas City. They enjoy hiking and backpacking.

Zac Sweets, Community Business Manager for Evergy (formerly Kansas City Power & Light).  At Evergy, Zac serves as liaison to local municipal officials in the greater Kansas City region regarding energy needs, outages, or general operations inquires. His job is to engage community organizations, such as Chambers of Commerce, to fulfill the company’s dedication to be a good community partner. Prior to Evergy, Zac worked for a short time with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce as Public Policy Director. Prior to that, Zac served as Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for the Missouri State Senate Office of Jason Holsman.

Marissa Cleaver Wamble, Director of Public Information & Partnerships at Hickman Mills C-1 Schools.  Marissa Cleaver Wamble is the Director of Public Information & Partnerships for Hickman Mills C-1 Schools.
